Originally this area was about clearing ivy from an existing snowberry patch and cutting survival rings. The volunteers were so swift we ended up clearing the entire area making way for new natives to be planted this fall.
We were please to be one of a handful of Seattle parks to host volunteers on the first annual VIP day. 35 volunteers from NNBJ, Seneca Group, and Wunderman braved a half inch of rain, muddy paths, steep hillside, and wet ivy to help us remove over 15 yards of ivy and clearing almost 1500 square feet.
